Compensation Profile:

Base Salary:  $125,000.
Bonus:  $25,000 at plan with opportunity for overachievement. 
Full Benefits:  Medical/Dental/Vision.
401K (matching 1:1 for the first 5%).
 

This position will manage a Marketing Coordinator and eventually a Product Manager responsible for Incontinence Care and Wound Care Products.  Continued growth of the company will provide opportunities for further advancement.  Marketing management experience is required.  Marketing experience with medical disposable products in the Healthcare Industry is preferred.
 
 
General Description:
 
The Director of Marketing - Healthcare plans, directs and coordinates the marketing of the organization's Incontinence Care and Wound Care products and solutions, while also providing overall strategic direction to the business relative to market development. Ultimately, the Director of Marketing - Healthcare is responsible for revenue, profit and share growth of the Healthcare related products and markets served by the hiring company and is viewed within the organization as a strategic leader in driving the corporate mission and overall sales / profit goals within the respective product categories and sales channels.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages marketing team personnel and resources within the marketing department and provides strategic direction to the overall activities of the marketing organization.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Develops strategic and tactical marketing direction for all products.  Includes developing the annual marketing plan, defining strategies, tactics and resources necessary to achieve product revenue, profit and share objectives.
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, payment, technological and demographic market factors, so that opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity minimized.
  • Plans, supports and oversees marketing communications and promotional activities.  Specifically oversees definition, development and introduction of promotional material/sales tools (brochures, trade shows, videos, field updates, web content, etc.) to support and convey the value proposition and build brand equity. 
  • Develops and recommends product pricing strategy, which will allow the company to meet both short-term and long-term revenue and profit targets.
  • Achieves satisfactory profitability and market share performance in relation to pre-set expectations, as well as to general and specific trends within the industry and the economy.
  • Ensures effective control of marketing resources and implementation of corrective actions to ensure achievement of marketing objectives within designated budgets.
  • Analyzes and defines the market for product growth within the assigned segments.  Maintains a served-market analysis defining the total market, company share, competitor share and available share by product market.
  • Provides the data to prepare, update, and control unit demand forecasts supporting effective supply chain management and product distribution channels.
  • Provides leadership and support to other functions via product team management system (Marketing & Sales Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Supply Chain Management, Finance, etc.) specific to the completion of programs and activities critical to achieving business goals.
  • Prepares Marketing activity reports to meet Management and broader organizational information needs.
  • Provides input and support to the Corporation’s leadership in the development of joint ventures, affiliations and partnership arrangements and broader business development needs.  Supports the global marketing strategies.
  • Participates fully with thought leaders and trade groups related to all product segments to keep current on trends and develop personal insight to gain leading edge market knowledge and to represent and build company’s standing with these market influencers.
 
 
Skills and Attributes / Education Requirements / Job Availability Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university required (An MBA is preferred). 
  • Minimum of 8 years Marketing experience or combined Marketing & Sales experience (Incontinence Care, Wound Care, Skin Health and Clinical experience is a distinct advantage).
  • Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.  Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
  •  Proficient use & knowledge of Microsoft Software: EXCEL, POWERPOINT, WORD, and OUTLOOK or equivalent e-mail program. Ability to use and maneuver through the internet.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to create presentations and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.  Requires the ability to use EXCEL software in building financial spreadsheets and analysis.
  • Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.  Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Compensation:
