This Senior Marketing Manager drives development and execution of strategic and tactical marketing plans to drive growth within companys Patient Handling/Mobility products.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal and external marketing plans that increases market share penetration, revenues and profits.  This includes managing the marketing and business operations of COMPANYS’s Patient Handling/Mobility products, including all distribution and factory/manufacturer relationships, sales forecasting, and local market evaluation, Voice of Customer (VOC) collection, managing quality and product complaints, product promotion, US regulatory compliance and commercialization.  In addition, this position performs technical sales support, product advertising/promotion, pricing and lifecycle management planning, exhibit presence, competitive surveillance, multi-channel product/therapy promotion and launch planning and execution platforms, rebate processing, and eCommerce administration and assist with rules/technical specifications, where appropriate.
 
Compensation Profile
Base Salary: $120K
Bonus: 15%
Reports to VP of Marketing

 
 
More Day-to-Day functions:
  • Lead effective execution of developed strategies and tactics resulting in revenue growth within targeted segments.
  • Develop local marketing initiatives that maximize sales force effectiveness and overall penetration of product line.
  • Lead the development and execution of promotional plans, clinical marketing presentations, tradeshow strategy, peer-to-peer programs, and general sales force support.
  • Development, launch and maintenance of assigned product line(s) and marketing material; lead the team in the development of messaging and tools targeted to each segment promoting the assigned product line(s).
  • In collaboration with cross-functional teams, monitors product launch effectiveness through external and internal customer relationships as well as key opinion leaders; ensure marketing programs and events meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • The internal and external marketing plan includes managing the marketing and business operations of designated product(s), including all distribution and factory/manufacturer relationships, sales forecasting, and local market evaluation, Voice of Customer (VOC) collection, managing quality and product complaints, product promotion, US regulatory compliance and commercialization. 
  • Performs technical sales support, product advertising/promotion, pricing and lifecycle management planning, exhibit presence, competitive surveillance, multi-channel product/therapy promotion, and launch planning and execution.  
  • Interact with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, attending conference/conventions, responding to requests and explaining procedures.
  • Develop and identify new work processes and the improved utilization of human and material resources as related to the product line.
  • Responsible for monitoring costs of projects and internal and external indicators by reviewing reports and newsletters, reading organizational literature, meeting with peers and reading departmental reports.
  • Acquire and applies competitive and market research data to reassess and recalibrate marketing strategies and tactics on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage all aspects of product lifecycle management, including leading cross functional teams (including the factories and internal support teams) to manage logistics and planning related to inventory backorders, quality actions, product launches, and discontinuations.
  • Partner with the sales/customer education team to identify and execute against key training initiatives.
  • Identify and implements marketing programs that support the therapy selling initiative and drives cross-selling of multiple products within a given area, and with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the professional development, performance management and mentoring of team members.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
  • Ability to plan, set objectives, measure performance, provides direction and builds a culture of employee involvement at all levels.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large complex cross functional programs from conception to completion.
  • Strong working knowledge of market analysis, planning, development and demonstrated experience in effective strategic execution.
  • Creativity in the development of new, innovative marketing programs.
  • Executive-level communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills are essential.
  • Successful in working effectively across multiple divisions within an organization.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively motivate, coach, and develop others.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and other database concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to articulate and ensure programs reinforce the Company’s value proposition and positioning.
  • Must be a self-starter, an independent thinker and a rapid decision maker.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field (Master’s degree in Marketing or MBA preferred).
  • A minimum of 7 years of Marketing and/or related experience.   Medical products experience is highly desireable. 
  • Progressive leadership experience in Marketing with preferred experience in medical device, biotechnology, life sciences and/or healthcare-related industry is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managerial/leadership role leading others.
