BASE SALARY: $80,000 - $90,000

SUMMARY: 
This is an opportunity to work for a worldwide capital equipment company selling Capital equipment concisting of hospital lifts, Hygiene Therapy and transfer equipment related products to hospitals and nursing homes. Contacts would include Hospital administrators, nursing directors, nursing home owners, contractors, architects, equipment planners, project managers, etc. 

The Account Executive is responsible for the sale of the Company’s complete line of hospital lifts, hygiene, therapy and transfer equipment and related products to all market segments, achieving the highest volume/profitability possible in a designated territory, consistent with assigned quota and company policy.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Attainment of quarterly and annual forecasts 
  • Customer development 
  • Management of the individual expense budget 
  • Management of samples and individual sample budge
  • Key account/KOL development 
  • Compliance with all governmental and internal policies and procedures 

The ideal candidate will have at least one year (prefer two or more) recent and successful capital equipment/medical device sales experience, or pharmaceutical sales - selling to hospitals and/or nursing homes. 

Company willing to consider a “top gun" pharmaceutical rep who has been selling to hospitals and can document being in the top 5% of tier sales force. Company also willing to consider “top gun" copy machine sales person PROVIDED there has been at least two years experience and the sales person can document being ranked in the top 5% of their sales force. 
  • Must have knowledge and experience using computer and related software including Customer Management Database programs (ACT preferred), Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. 
  • Must be able to lift and move mobile demonstration equipment on a daily basis and have a current valid driver’s license. 
  • Primary travel is by company vehicle within the territory and must be able to travel by airplane when required. 
  • Must live in the territory. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Calls on and qualifies hospital administrators, nursing directors, nursing home owners, contractors, architects, equipment planners, project managers, etc. Arranges appointments, equipment demonstrations and eventual sales for products.  Transports equipment to potential customer facilities and conducts thorough demonstrations of design-integrated systems and products in accordance with established techniques and user needs. Following sale and delivery of product, conducts a complete in-service education of equipment operation to customer personnel, demonstrating safe and proper operating procedures.  Initiates and maintains orderly customer and potential customer account files. Keeps a timely and accurate record of all contracts, developments, transactions, pertinent information and provides same information to the RVP on a Quarterly basis.

Plans and coordinates customer calls, products demonstrations and in-service presentations to insure the most effective and efficient use of time.  Develops and maintains current information regarding market conditions, sales potentials, and competition activity within assigned territory. Keeps Regional Sales VP informed of all related details.  Develops potential sales leads by conducting research, maintaining key industry contacts and attending trade shows and meetings.

Prepares and submits to the Regional Sales VP complete, accurate and timely paperwork including Committed & EP Accounts, Monthly Business Review, Quarterly Target List and Expense Reports.  Promotes the Company and its image by displaying the highest personal, ethical and professional standards of conduct and performance.  Acquires and continually upgrades knowledge regarding the features, benefits and application of competitor equipment, selling techniques, healthcare industry trends, developments and legislative issues. Maintains company-provided vehicle, trailer and all equipment in first-rate condition. Periodic follow-ups with existing customers to ensure products are performing to their satisfaction.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Formal selling training RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 
  • 2 – 4 years recent and successful capital equipment sales or a position with a majority of the components of the sales process and/or B2B. 
  • Healthcare industry operation, organization, budgeting and purchasing process. 
  • Travel: 50-75%
